FAQ and install guide
Common IMVIA questions about installation, everyday usage, and privacy.
Installation
How do I install the browser extension?
Install it from the Chrome Web Store. If the store is unavailable, use the offline package on the download page as a manual backup option.
How do I install Bridge and the Photoshop CEP panel?
Choose the Windows or macOS desktop installer on the download page and run it. The installer places the Photoshop CEP panel and starts the local Bridge service.
What if the IMVIA panel does not appear in Photoshop?
Run the all-in-one installer again and restart Photoshop. If it still does not appear, contact support with your Photoshop version and installation screenshots.
Usage
What should I do if Bridge is disconnected?
Click the desktop Bridge App icon to start the local service, then make sure the browser extension and Photoshop CEP panel are running on the same computer.
Why does IMVIA need Local Bridge?
The browser extension cannot directly control Photoshop. Local Bridge forwards assets between the browser extension and Photoshop CEP panel on your machine.
How do I send a web image to Photoshop?
Select an asset on a supported website and send it through the IMVIA browser extension. The Photoshop CEP panel receives and imports it.
Which websites support two-way transfer?
Capabilities vary by site. Use the supported-sites matrix as the source of truth, and do not treat unfinished return flows as stable two-way support.
How many objects can batch send handle?
Current Pro builds support up to 5 objects per batch, subject to the active version notes.
Privacy
Are my images uploaded to IMVIA servers?
No. Images, PSD, SVG, and design assets transfer locally through the browser extension, Local Bridge, and Photoshop panel.
Does IMVIA read third-party website accounts or cookies?
No. IMVIA does not read third-party cookies or tokens and does not bypass login, payment, upload, or quota restrictions.
What does the license service store?
The license API handles license tokens, device-id hashes, plan status, and fair-use checks. It does not store the creative assets you transfer.
